 NRJ GROUP and CM-CIC build up their Mobile partnership
NRJ Group and CM-CIC Group are building up their partnership with a view toward further developing NRJ Mobile.
With over 340 000 clients acquired as at end-January 2007, NRJ Mobile, the operator preferred by young people and music lovers, is a recognised player on the French MVNO market. Its promising development is strengthened with an industrial and financial partnership in which the respective assets of its two shareholders are pooled: the NRJ brand and marketing know-how and media, on the one side, and on the other, expertise in information systems and customer relationship management, and a network of 5 000 agencies, with more than 14 million clients.
Once the next capital increase, in the amount of EUR 60 million, has been fully taken out by CM-CIC Group, the latter's stake in NRJ Mobile will rise from 10% to 50%, making NRJ Mobile a 50-50 joint venture between NRJ Group and Euro Information, subsidiary of CM-CIC Group.
This stage illustrates the resurging confidence and strategic interest the two Groups have in the development and future of mobile telephony, through their joint subsidiary, NRJ Mobile.
