First quarter 2007 sales of €94.5 million
- Drop in revenue from radio business in France
- Satisfactory growth of revenue from Television and Telephony businesses

Sales excluding the group's barters operations in the first quarter of 2007 amounted to 94.5 million euros, versus 98.8 million euros in the first quarter of 2006, which means a drop of 4.4% (-4.5% on a like-for-like basis and at a constant exchange rate). This change notably incorporates a fall in radio-in-France and non-media businesses on the one hand, and on the other hand, the growth in other group businesses (television, mobile telephony, broadcasting).

Radio-in-France business's sales, in the 1st quarter of 2007, fell by 5.2% compared to the same period in 2006, in an environment of sharply falling advertising spending in the telecommunications sector. As regards the sector of distribution that has access to television advertising since 1 January 2007, the fall in spending was limited for the period.

Sales for the 1st quarter of 2007 of the international radio business levelled off, compared to the first quarter of 2006. They incorporate a positive consolidation scope effect of 0.7 million euros, following consolidation at 50% of the sub-group, Nostalgie in Belgium, since 1 January 2007.

Sales for the television business came to 1.5 million euros for the 1st quarter of 2007, versus 0.7 million euros for the same period of 2006 (+114%). According to the latest figures published by the TNT and GFK consortium, 8.2 million set-top boxes were sold or rented by the end of March 2007. The equipment rate of French housewhole was up to 22% by the end of March 2007 compared to 8.6% by the end of March 2006. Furthermore, 10.3 million viewers watched NRJ 12 each week in April 2007, up 84% over one year.

The telephony business's sales amounted to 6.2 million euros, in the 1st quarter 2007, versus 4.4 million euros in the first quarter of 2006, which means a rise of 40.9%. In 2007, NRJ Mobile's sales were consolidated at 100% in January and February, and at 50% as of 1 March, following Crédit Mutuel-CIC increasing it share in NRJ Mobile's capital. On a like-for-like basis (consolidation of sales at 50% in March 2006), sales would have increased by 61.9%. By the end of April, NRJ Mobile had acquired nearly 405,000 customers since its launch.

Non-media business's sales came to 14.7 million euros in the 1st quarter 2007, versus 19.5 million euros in the 1st quarter 2006. The musical, "Le Roi Soleil" continued its successful run in the provinces. However, the number of performances has dropped compared to 1st quarter 2006.

Finally, the group's broadcasting business continued recording growth in sales (+46.2% in the 1st quarter 2007), mainly on account of digital terrestrial television broadcasting.

Recent trend

In April 2007, radio-in-France business's sales, in a more difficult radio advertising market, fell more sharply than in the 1st quarter. For the 2nd quarter as a whole, visibility remains, by its nature, low at this time.
