Last night during a press conference held at V.I.P Room, TF1 and NRJ revealed the list of nominees and announced that the 8th edition of the NRJ MUSIC AWARDS will take place live from Midem in Cannes on the 20th January 2007.

ARTHUR THE MASTER OF CEREMONIES
The presenter will for the first time host the NRJ Music Awards. But he won't have the stage all to himself at Cannes' Palais des Festivals - joining him in making this a night to remember will be a number of French comedians!

P. DIDDY A SHOCK SPONSOR
P.DIDDY launched the 8th edition last night at the V.I.P. Room! He is sponsoring the NRJ MUSIC AWARDS 2007. He is also a nominee in the "International Male Artist of the Year" category... All will be revealed on the 20th January.

100% PUBLIC VOTING FROM THE 20th NOVEMBER
The NRJ Music Awards is the only ceremony where the public alone decides! From midnight on the 20th November until midnight on the 7th January 2007, Internet users can vote for the best French and international music artists of 2006, who will be presented with awards during the ceremony. The public can vote on www.nrj.fr and www.tf1.fr

A UNIQUE EVENT
As always, all the big stars will be attending or helping out at the NRJ Music Awards, and perhaps even picking up an award.

14 NOMINEE CATEGORIES
The list of nominees is drawn up on the basis of the artists and tracks that were most popular with the public over the course of the year. The list comprises 14 categories chosen by TF1 and NRJ. A new category has been created this year for the best DJ of the year! Nominees in the "Francophone song of the year" category will be announced on the 20th January 2007, with voters texting their nominations throughout the ceremony.
